Highway Changes - Current as of 10/13/2010

If you are coming from the South on Hwy 54, when you reach the Grand Glaize Bridge, you will have no choice but to enter on to the new US 54 Expressway. The old highway through town is no longer accessible except by exiting from the new Expressway. Old Hwy 54 has been renamed Osage Beach Parkway. To reach our park, stay on the  Expressway and take HWY 42 exit. You will come up to Osage Beach Parkway (old HWY 54), turn right. It is a one-way street. Turn right at 2nd stoplight into HWY 42. Walgreens is on the corner.

If you are coming from the north on HWY 54, when you reach the Osage River Bridge, the US 54 Expressway is now open. You may either take the Expressway or take the exit to Business 54. If you take US 54 Expressway, take the HWY 42 exit from it. You will come up to Old HWY 54, now Osage Beach Parkway. Turn left. It is now a one-way street. Turn right onto HWY 42 at the 3rd stoplight. Walgreens will be on the corner.

If you exit onto Business 54, you will find yourself on Old HWY 54. Do not turn onto Business 54 at Denny's. Stay straight on Old Hwy 54, now Osage Beach Parkway. Stay to the left as you pass Hy-Vee, so that you may turn left onto HWY 42 at Walgreens.

December 2010:

Construction is ongoing south of the Grand Glaize Bridge. We will post an update as soon as we get more information. New intersections have opened along with new signal lights. Safe Travels.

September 23rd, 2010:

HWY 54 South/Westbound (Osage Beach Parkway) now diverts into a divided highway right before HWY 42.  Please make sure you get into the LEFT turn lane after passing Hy-Vee and turn left at the next light for HWY 42. If you stay to the right, you will be diverted to one-way HWY 54 South. If you get taken on Osage Beach Parkway South, the first light - if you can get into the left lane safely - will bring you to the Home Depot / Appleby's intersection. Your 2nd chance is the exit for the US 54 Expressway - WEST. Be in the left lane, then take another left at Osage Beach Parkway North. Follow the above instructions to reach to park. Safe Travels.

Welcome to summertime at the Lake of the Ozarks. There are still changes in the highways with portions of the new expressway being completed but not opened. Watch for new stoplights through out the length of Osage Beach on Hwy 54. The opening of the new bridge in May has facilitated some of the traffic, but if everyone will drive safely and watch for the slower speed zones, we will all come through the summer with no accidents.
