Swinging Bridges of BrumleyJust down the road, a short distance from the park, are the Swinging Bridges of Brumley, located off Hwy 42 on Lake Rd. 42-18. The bridges are used on a daily basis by local residents. There is a primitive area on the opposite side of the bridge where you can get right up to the water and take photos of the various wildlife that can be found here.
Ha Ha Tonka Castle RuinsHa Ha Tonka State Park is located approximately 5 miles south of Camdenton and is comprised of nearly 2500 acres on the Niangua Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. The Castle Ruins are visited by thousands each year. Stop at the visitor center at the entrance to the park for detailed information on the Castle and the park. It is a great day trip - that may take you a few days to complete if you want to take all the trails....
Mary's ShrineThe Mary, Mother of the Church Shrine is located in Laurie a short distance from the park, on the west side of the Lake. It is nestled in a natural grotto and surrounded by trees and terraced landscaping which can seat several thousanfd people. Near the altar are fountains and a waterfall. The mission of the Shrine is to help promote a true appreciation of motherhood, the preciousness of life and the integrity of the family.
